Library Mission Statement: The mission of the Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD library program is to provide equitable, physical and intellectual access to resources and tools required to ensure that students and staff will be effective users of media information. To support this mission a warm, safe and stimulating environment is provided, thereby enabling them to become life-long learners.
Library and information services support student achievement through the acquisition of print and digital media used in the implementation of Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD curriculum in all content areas.

randolph caldecott Medal
The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
